I started with an itch between my legs, on my inner thighs, no real rash but sometimes a few small spots, they are so itchy, i now get them on and off all over, apart from face and feet, they dont stay long but they itch so much, have tried changing washing powder, used different soaps, taking antihistomens and various soap replacements from GP but nothing seems to work, i cant even say i get it when i eat certain things because there is no pattern :o(

I just developed itchy red hives days ago. I cant sweat, and instead i get these itchy red rashes. Apparently, its sweat leaking under leaking, causing the bumpy rashes and is aggravated by heat. Antihistamine didnt work (and i dont think its allergy although thats what doc rule out first when they hear 'itchy rash'). In my case, the doc has given my 50g prednisone tablets for the short duration - its been fantastic at making the inflammation from rashly mostly disappear. I am most bothered by the itchiness now, especially at night. In my case, anhydrous lanolin, calamine and other drying lotions/ointments and creams (and mentholated prickly heat powder or moov) are useful for taking the itchiness away. They get worse at night, and i need to keep shifting to remain cool, and occassional get up to apply cooling ointments directly on the spots and cover them with prickly heat powder. Amazingly, the bumps seem to dry up by the morning. I have also found a bucket of water with dilute pinetarsol useful for dipping my foot/calf or hand/arm if it gets overwhelmingly itchy.
Hope this helps.

I've been scratching for 3 years have tried everything. My wife purchased for her own dry skin use....Glaxal Base 450g made by Wellskin at Walmarts for $20.00.
I tried it and it works for me. The itch leaves in seconds.

Can a stress reduced rash still be itchy even if it's in your head? I get an anxiety skin rash and am not sure how to stop itching. My son says it's in my mind, but it feels itchy.
