Increased Food Allergies for Kids:Skin Rash News
It’s been reported via door to door surveys by the Centers for Disease Control that kids have increased in food allergies by 18 percent. This means that over 3 million US Kids have these reactions. In other studies, foods such as eggs, dairy and peanuts as high ranking. Twice as many seem to have peanut allergies. In addition to skin rashes, asthma and stomach upsets are symptoms.
Eczema, breathing problems and asthma are issues that cdc directly ties to food allergies. There seems to be much more public awareness now of food allergies and even some summer camps have told campers’ parents to not send any peanut-based foods to their kids as kids share food and this can lead to someone having a serious allergic reaction.
Some attribute the peanut allergies to molds. Eczema can be difficult for a child, especially in the summer when shorts and short sleeved shirts are worn. Kids can be very self-conscious. Of course, the itching is an additional misery and many kids scratch which lead to bacterial infections that complicate the situation.







My son as a young child would get an itchy rash from dairy products but fortunately was happy to drink soy milk if it was vanilla flavored. He had food reaction rashes also to nuts but outgrew this.
